The STM Network team includes:
Nationally and internationally recognized for their leadership in effective missions training. Mark & Matt have experience in 1/4 of the world’s countries, and share over 35 years of involvement in international work.
Matt Janes, Director for Eastern Canada
Matt has been leading people on short-term mission trips since 1994.While on staff at a church in Toronto, Ontario, he led over 10 STM teams in 10 years.
In late 2006, Matt became the Director of The STM Network. In this role, he is using his gifts of networking and training to mentor and mobilize thousands of Canadians on short and mid-term mission.
His passion is to help people within the local church discover their place in the Great Commission, then equip, train, and mobilize individuals and teams into the world to fulfill their calling – and to support missionaries serving in long-term mission work on the field.
Matt, his wife Heather, and their kids Emma & Ty live in Pickering, Ontario.

Mark Crocker, Director for Western Canada
Mark has been teaching thousands of people the cross-cultural lessons he has experienced in over 40 international destinations, since 1991.
Mark began working as the Western Director for The STM Network in 2009. His focus is on providing training for STM teams and receivers/ hosts, as well as facilitating our Mid-Term Missions preparation process.
It is Mark’s responsibility to ensure the resourcefulness of the network, as well as to continue developing and maintaining it’s mission, values, and targets.
Mark and his wife Supriya live in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Irislee Koch, Assistant
Irislee has been going on short-term mission trips since 1988, as a single young adult and later, leading youth teams as a pastor’s spouse. Most recently, she brought her family along for the ride! In 2009/2010, Irislee, her husband and four kids lived on the Thai-Burma border as mid-term missionaries. It was a fantastic experience and she recommends it wholeheartedly! The Koch family were trained by the STM Network before departing to Thailand. The coaching and support were exactly what was needed to do mission well.
Upon return to Canada, Irislee began working with the STM Network in 2010. When offered a job with the STM Network, she was pleased to become part of an organization dedicated to doing mission well. Irislee is passionate about health in all aspects of life….marriage, family, ministry and mission. Good mission changes people for good!
Irislee and her husband Derek live in West Kelowna, BC with their kids Ellie, Isaac, Hannah and Olivia.
